Accurate enrollment forecasts are vital to the school system's planning processes. The Department of Planning provides an annual enrollment projection and a five-year forecast that are based on historical information. The enrollment forecasts are used by GCPS' Planning Department in planning school and cluster boundaries and are used by many other school system departments for planning purposes.
Below you will find the five-year forecast for each Gwinnett County school. The chart shows each school's capacity and enrollment forecast, as well as the number of students over or under capacity for the given year. The forecast is updated annually. The enrollment forecast and/or capacity for a given school change as new schools or additions are completed. Those additional schools and classrooms are being funded primarily by the special purpose local option sales tax. Voters extended the penny sales tax for schools in November 2006, allowing the system to continue providing classrooms and technology for Gwinnett's growing student population.
