The Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools provides prevention and intervention programs and activities for Gwinnett County students and their families targeting areas of violence and drug abuse, to promote a drug-free and safe environment conducive to learning. SDFS programs use research-based strategies recognized by the U. S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL).
