The Fleet and Grounds Maintenance Department works to ensure GCPS vehicles and campuses are safe, inviting, and well maintained.

Fleet Maintenance provides safe, efficient vehicles that are maintained to manufacturer's specifications and comply with State and Federal emissions standards. All buses are safety inspected once a month and annually inspected by the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle Safety.

The Grounds Department maintains more than 2,600 acres of school property in a functional and economical manner. Through xeriscape landscaping, the salvaging of trees/shrubs, and the harvesting of Bermuda sprigs, the Grounds workforce remains environmentally conscious as they improve and beautify our educational facilities.
